Hi, I’m Nihan!

I’ve never been one to rush through the world. To me, photography isn't just about pressing a shutter button; it’s a practice of absolute presence. It is the thing that completely grounds me. It forces me to stop, quiet the noise of everyday life, and become entirely attentive to my surroundings. When I have a camera in my hand, the world slows down.

I tend to look for the things that others might walk right past—the intricate, delicate texture of a blooming flower, the energy of a fast-moving performance, the split-second head tilt of a beloved pet, or the adventurous connection between two people. I am drawn to the micro-moments and the rich details that tell a much larger story.

Based in the beautiful Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, I regularly chase light across the mountains and throughout the broader DMV region. Ultimately, my goal is to create images that make you pause, breathe, and appreciate the striking beauty wrapped up in the present moment. Thank you for wandering through my visual diary—I’m so glad you’re here.
